Valve has released a major update for Deadlock, completely revamping its map. The four-lane design is gone, replaced by a three-lane structure more in line with traditional MOBAs. This shift dramatically alters gameplay. Previously, a common strategy involved a "1 vs 2" lane distribution; now, expect a "2 vs 2" setup in each lane, forcing players to adapt their resource management and team compositions.

The map's redesign extends to neutral camps, buffs, and other key locations. To help players navigate this new layout, a dedicated "map exploration" mode has been added, allowing for unhindered exploration without the pressure of combat.
This update also modifies the Soul Orb system, allowing players to gain souls even without delivering the final blow. This change promises faster resource accumulation. Further refinements include reduced hover times for soul effects.
Beyond map and Soul Orb changes, the patch includes sprint mechanic adjustments, character balance tweaks, and enhanced performance. It also adds support for DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0 technologies. Numerous bug fixes round out this comprehensive update.
