Following community feedback regarding recent bugs and balance adjustments, Behaviour Interactive has released the official patch notes for Dead by Daylight update 9.1.1.
The developers of the hit asymmetric horror game published a comprehensive list of the latest fixes today on the Dead by Daylight website. This maintenance patch arrives just one week after the launch of update 9.1.0 on PC and consoles, though many players feel it was urgently needed.
Update 9.1.0 introduced content inspired by The Walking Dead, map updates, and balancing changes for numerous Survivors and Killers. While many welcomed the new additions, several game-breaking issues overshadowed the positive aspects of the content update for others.
Key concerns raised by players involved Perks such as Streetwise, Blood Rush, and Last Stand, each of which introduced new bugs. Another significant problem was The Clown’s excessively high movement speed and unstoppable bottle-throwing ability during Trials. Fortunately, after Behaviour temporarily disabled several of these features yesterday, update 9.1.1 delivers more lasting solutions.
Both Streetwise and Last Stand have been reactivated in this update, with adjustments to resolve the problems introduced last week. The new Fog Vial item, added just days ago, has also been adjusted with reduced opacity and volume. Additionally, a series of critical bug fixes address problems related to Killer chase mechanics, Survivor perceptions of The Deathslinger's aiming animation, and more.
Update 9.1.1 also resolves glitches affecting audio, character models, environments, and other Perks, as Behaviour aims to restore confidence within its dedicated community. The development team outlined its commitment to faster communication and more proactive responses in a recent post on the official Dead by Daylight X/Twitter account, promising another hotfix next week. This upcoming patch will address Blood Rush issues and include further Fog Vial adjustments.
Behaviour has pledged to more quickly disable problematic gameplay elements and improve dialogue with players, thanking the community for its constructive feedback. As the team continues to fine-tune The Clown and other Killers, you can explore how Dead by Daylight players once reached out to Blizzard's Overwatch team in a moment of need.
