Strategic Use of Tarot Cards

Due to their inherent risk, using Tarot Cards in a safe area, such as near a hiding spot or the entrance, is recommended. This allows for a quicker escape if an unfavorable card, like Death, is drawn.

Each card activates immediately upon selection. The Fool acts as a wildcard, producing no effect. Up to 10 cards can be drawn without impacting sanity. Duplicate cards yield the same effect.

Cursed Possessions in Phasmophobia

Cursed Possessions are high-risk, high-reward items that provide shortcuts to manipulating the ghost. They spawn randomly on maps, depending on difficulty and game mode. Only one spawns per contract (unless modified in Custom settings), always in a predetermined location. Examples include the Voodoo Doll and Ouija Board. Using them is optional; there’s no penalty for ignoring them.

Seven Cursed Objects exist in the game: Haunted Mirror, Voodoo Doll, Music Box, Tarot Cards, Ouija Board, Monkey Paw, and Summoning Circle. This guide focuses specifically on Tarot Cards. For further Phasmophobia guides and news, including achievements, consult The Escapist.
