"Surprise Marvel Rivals Hero Tops Charts with Stats"

To enhance gameplay and boost the popularity of less-played characters like Storm and Black Widow, NetEase Games made significant balance adjustments to the heroes of Marvel Rivals as Season 1 kicked off in January. These updates have had a profound impact on the game's meta.

Storm, in particular, has seen a dramatic surge in popularity and effectiveness. According to Rivals Meta, she now holds the number one spot in win rate, a significant leap from her previous standings. In competitive mode, her win percentage has soared above 56%, with a pick rate of 16%. This is a stark contrast to her previous performance, where she barely registered a 1% pick rate. Storm is now outshining many other heroes, including Adam Warlock, Jeff, Spider-Man, Hela, Hulk, Magic, and Iron Man.

Despite Storm's rise, the most popular character pairing in Season 1 remains Cloak and Dagger. However, their win percentage has dipped below 49%. On the other end of the spectrum, Black Widow continues to be the least popular and least successful character in the game.

With hundreds of thousands of players engaging with Marvel Rivals, including its competitive mode, the game is experiencing significant growth. Achieving the prestigious Grandmaster title remains an exclusive feat, attained by only 0.1% of players, even with the existence of the Celestial rank.

Reaching such heights is no small feat, but one player has achieved something truly extraordinary. In the first season, this player reached Grandmaster without taking any damage across 108 games, playing as Rocket Raccoon. Their strategy focused solely on healing teammates, amassing over 2.9 million health points restored and nearly 3,500 assists while avoiding any knockouts.
