New Shining Revelry Expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket Announced, Coming Soon

By CarterMay 07,2025

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket ebbs and flows with the excitement of new expansions. I'm deeply engaged when a fresh set drops and continue playing as long as there are Emblems to earn for around 40 wins. Once that's done, my routine shifts to logging in daily to open packs, participate in a Wonder Pick for fun, and then I usually move on until the next day. This cycle will kick into high gear once again with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, set to launch on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will enrich TCG Pocket with 110 new cards, featuring an array of new Ex Pokemon, Trainers, and the stunning art cards that have captured our hearts. The highlight of this expansion, as hinted by its name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokemon. For those new to the concept, Shiny Pokemon are unique color variations of the beloved creatures. Imagine seeing Lucario in yellow instead of its usual blue, or Pachirisu sporting an eye-catching pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, teases us with just a glimpse of what's in store. A standout card is the new Shiny Charizard Ex, boasting 180 HP and an attack named Steam Artillery that inflicts a massive 150 damage. The downside? It requires a hefty five energy. However, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy cards at once, making it a bit more manageable.

Another exciting addition is the Lucario Ex. Previously more of a support player in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this iteration of the Aura Pokemon is ready to take a more aggressive stance. With 150 HP, it might not be the most durable, but its Aura Sphere attack is formidable. For just three Fighting Energy, it delivers 100 damage to the active Pokemon and an additional 30 to one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon.

The trailer also showcases other cards that, while not game-changers, are delightful additions. Shiny Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are all making their way to the game, each with their unique flair. And let's not overlook the exquisite Tatsugiri art rare, a card I'm determined to add to my digital collection.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is readily available on the App Store and Google Play, offering a free-to-play experience with optional in-app purchases. If you're keen to dive in, you can download it for your preferred platform using the buttons below.
