LEGO has announced the launch of nine exciting new Star Wars sets, set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025. This release is perfectly timed to coincide with Disney's celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, which LEGO traditionally honors with a new addition to their Ultimate Collector Series Starship line. In previous years, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024.
This year, LEGO enthusiasts can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I among long-time Star Wars fans. It's important to note that the name was changed to Firespray Starship back in 2021 at Disney's request, a change confirmed by LEGO. This adjustment seems to be a permanent fixture, as it continues into 2025.

The last significant iteration of this iconic starship was released by LEGO in 2019, marking the 20th anniversary with a 1007-piece set inspired by its appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new 2025 version, boasting 2970 pieces, is inspired by its depiction in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. This set is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, measuring an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
