Originally known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to cater to a wider audience with its cross-play multiplayer feature. This week, the developers also introduced a new currency called Stardust, which offers players more flexibility in their in-game purchases without an expiration date.

Among Us 3D is packed with exciting additions, including a permanent Tag Mode that introduces the Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, and a variety of new and returning mini-games. Players can also look forward to an array of new cosmetics to personalize their experience.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D is a standalone game, distinct from the Among Us VR released in 2022. According to the FAQs on Schell Games' website, there will be no cross-play between Among Us VR and Among Us 3D.
