Following Pocket Gamer Connects London, we got hands-on with some exciting new games. One standout title was WordPix, a word-based puzzle game that immediately caught our attention.
The core gameplay of WordPix is straightforward: you're shown images and must guess the associated words. For example, a scaly reptile might be a "Lizard," while a certain rodent could be a "Capybara." While the premise is simple, it's a surprisingly engaging way to sharpen your mind on the go.
WordPix offers diverse gameplay modes to prevent monotony. It features solo and multiplayer options, along with "Beat the Boss" challenges for those seeking a competitive edge. Daily challenges, including "Word of the Day" and "Quote of the Day," and even a Sudoku mode add further variety and replayability.
WordPix's appeal is clear: a clean, user-friendly interface, an accessible yet challenging concept, and plenty of variations to keep players engaged. We hope to see more content added as the game launches globally this year. Currently, WordPix is available on iOS in the US and UK, and on Android in the UK.
