The Witcher 3, while critically acclaimed, wasn't without its flaws. Many fans felt the combat system fell short.
In a recent interview, Witcher 4's game director, Sebastian Kalemba, acknowledged weaknesses in the previous game's gameplay, specifically highlighting combat and monster hunting as areas demanding significant improvement. He stated, "We want to improve the gameplay and the monster hunting experience."
Kalemba emphasized that the Witcher 4 trailer should showcase the impactful and powerful nature of monster encounters, focusing on improved choreography and emotional weight.
Witcher 4 promises a substantial combat overhaul. Reassuringly, CD Projekt Red (CDPR) recognizes the need for improvements over past Witcher titles, enhancements likely to carry over into future installments, especially given Ciri's central role in the new trilogy.
Interestingly, developers also plan to include Triss's wedding. In Witcher 3, the "Ashen Marriage" quest, originally intended for Novigrad, saw Geralt assisting with preparations – clearing canals, procuring alcohol, and choosing a gift. This storyline reflects Triss's burgeoning feelings for Castello and her desire for a swift wedding.
