All Hidden and Secret Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds

In Monster Hunter Wilds, there are 12 secret achievements to unlock. Seven of these are linked to the main story progression and will unlock naturally as you continue playing. The other five are tied to optional objectives, which we'll detail below:

  • I Caught a Shooting Star!: Caught a creature in the desert that shines like a shooting star.
  • A Prize Held High: Caught a creature that bears an Ancient Wyvern Coin.
  • A Legacy Restored: Obtained an Artian Weapon of Rarity 8.
  • Seasoned Hunter: Hunted 50 Tempered monsters.
  • Top of the Food Chain: Hunted 50 Apex Predators.

While some of these achievements are straightforward, others require a bit more strategy. Let's delve into how to unlock each one.

I Caught a Shooting Star!

To achieve this, head to Zone 11 of the Windward Plains at night and prepare some screamer pods. Look for a Baunos flying near the gathering spots in this area. Shoot the screamer pods at it, then quickly use the Capture Net to catch it.

A Prize Held High

This achievement can be unlocked in any map by focusing on tight corners and dead ends. Specifically, go to Zone 6 of the Scarlet Forest and find the small puddle of water. Use the Capture Net to catch the small golden crab. Keep in mind that Alma will often comment if you're near a creature with an Ancient Wyvern Coin, hinting at its presence.

A Legacy Restored

Once you reach High Rank missions, you can start crafting Artian gear. To obtain Rarity 8 weapons and materials, you'll need to hunt Tempered monsters using Rarity 7 gear.

Seasoned Hunter

Don't confuse Tempered monsters with Frenzied monsters, the latter being outlined in red. Tempered monsters are marked in purple on the minimap. Both slaying and capturing them will contribute to this achievement. These monsters start appearing from Chapter 4 onwards, once you enter High Rank content.

Top of the Food Chain

This achievement is straightforward but specific to the following Apex Predators:

  • Rey
  • Dau
  • Uth
  • Duna
  • Nu
  • Udra
  • Jin
  • Dahaad
