- Monster Hunter Now is already preparing for the New Year celebrations
- The A Happy Hunting New Year 2026 event arrives soon
- Players can expect festive rewards and a brand-new global challenge
Even though Christmas hasn't arrived yet, Niantic has already revealed plans for the upcoming year. If you're playing Monster Hunter Now, the "A Happy Hunting New Year 2026" event offers plenty of exclusive items and a global challenge to tackle.
The celebration is divided into two phases. The first runs from December 22nd through the 29th, featuring significantly increased Elder Dragon Interceptions and the ability to craft unique festive armor like the Twin Wreathes and Wrapping Bow.
During the second phase (December 29th to January 4th), progress on Hunt-a-thons and Interceptions will contribute exclusively toward Elder Dragon goals. Additionally, your access range expands by 50%, making it easier to reach your next hunt with less trekking.

Global connectivity at your fingertips
The Winter 2025 Exchange Hub opens its doors, letting you trade event tokens for seasonal cosmetics that add some quirky flair to your character. You'll also receive standard rewards and bonuses for completing various tasks throughout the event (see full details here).
For the Global Challenge, hunters worldwide will team up to defeat powerful monsters. Hitting milestones unlocks prizes like the Winter 2025 Bow Forging Ticket (for crafting the Wrapping Bow), the Banbaro Christmas Sweater Layered outfit, and many other items.
