"Tribe Nine Ends EOS Support Shortly After Global Launch"

Akatsuki Games has recently made a surprising announcement regarding the end of service (EOS) for their latest game, Tribe Nine. Launched just a few months ago in February on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam, the decision to shut down the game has left many fans in disbelief. Let's delve into the details and reasons behind this unexpected move.

When Is the Tribe Nine EOS?

The official shutdown date for Tribe Nine is set for November 27th, 2025. Alongside this announcement, Akatsuki Games has confirmed that Chapter 4 of the main story will not be released, leaving fans disappointed as the game had recently teased significant developments. As of May 15th, all new updates, features, bug fixes, and content releases have been halted. This means that any promised adjustments or new features mentioned in previous in-game notices are now canceled.

Additionally, two anticipated characters, Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, who were set to join the game's roster, will no longer be added. Refunds will be issued for Paid Enigma Entities used on items like Armed Support, Advanced Support, and the Support Contract – Revenio, with refunds processed after the Revenio contract concludes. Purchases of Enigma Entities and Daily Passes have been disabled across the app and web store, though players can continue using their existing Enigma Entities until the game's official shutdown.

Why Did It Fail, So Soon?

Tribe Nine, a free-to-play extreme action RPG, boasts unique style and worldbuilding. Despite its quality, the game faced challenges from the start. The release schedule was notably slow, with only one story chapter and one event released over three months. Moreover, the game's monetization model didn't encourage spending; players could build a strong team with just one pull and didn't need duplicates, which was beneficial for players but detrimental to the game's revenue.

It seems that adopting a gacha system was a risky move for Tribe Nine, and unfortunately, it did not yield the expected results. Despite its impending closure, the game remains playable until November 27th, 2025. If you haven't yet experienced Tribe Nine, you can still check it out on the Google Play Store.
