Nintendo and LEGO have already collaborated to create some impressive LEGO Nintendo sets. Last year, we saw the launch of the dynamic Mario and Yoshi set, along with the first-ever LEGO Legend of Zelda set. These sets have been fantastic, but what about Nintendo's other iconic franchises?
Currently, the LEGO Nintendo lineup primarily consists of a variety of Mario sets, including those featuring Donkey Kong, and a selection of Animal Crossing sets. However, there's a noticeable gap when it comes to other beloved franchises. As a fan of both LEGO and Nintendo, I'm eager for more diverse options. For fellow enthusiasts, the question arises: Which Nintendo franchise would you most like to see transformed into LEGO sets?
With the recent announcement of the Switch 2, excitement for Nintendo's next generation of gaming continues to build. It's highly likely that we will see an expansion of LEGO Nintendo sets, especially as the company further invests in movies, such as the new Mario movie and the anticipated live-action Zelda film, and upcoming Switch games. Which franchises do you think could realistically be transformed into LEGO sets by 2025 or beyond? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
Personally, I believe the Metroid franchise would make for the most exciting LEGO sets. With Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon, it presents a perfect opportunity for some truly remarkable builds that I would be eager to purchase. Additionally, I would love to see actual LEGO Pokémon sets, rather than the existing MEGA sets, though I understand this might be challenging due to the licensing agreement between Mattel and The Pokémon Company.
