Top Jedi Survivors of Order 66 Ranked

By NathanMay 23,2025

This month marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the concluding chapter in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Released on May 19, 2005, it was the last Star Wars film directed by George Lucas before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney seven years later.

Fans were well aware that Revenge of the Sith would showcase Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader, but the fate of the other Jedi remained a significant mystery. The film introduced Order 66, a sinister plot by Palpatine to command the Clone Troopers to turn against and eliminate the Jedi they had fought alongside during the Clone Wars. Despite the thousands of Jedi in service, it was plausible that some would evade Palpatine’s purge, especially those necessary for continuity with the Original Trilogy.

Among the numerous Order 66 survivors introduced in canon Star Wars stories, we have compiled a list of the top 10 who have significantly impacted the narrative. These Jedi's survival ranged from brief to extended periods, with some fates still shrouded in mystery. However, all these Jedi lived to see another day after Palpatine’s infamous command, "Execute Order 66."

For this ranking, our criteria specify that characters must have been part of the Jedi Order before Order 66, ranging from Jedi Initiates to Jedi Masters. This excludes Force-users like Maul or Palpatine, as well as those like Jod Na Nawood who, despite receiving some Jedi training, were never officially part of the Order.

There was debate about including Asajj Ventress, who was trained by Jedi Knight Ky Narec on Rattatak for over 20 years. Although Narec considered her his Padawan, Ventress never visited Coruscant or met the Jedi Council, and her subsequent alignment with the Dark Side under Dooku complicates her status as a Jedi. Thus, she is listed as an honorable mention.
