HoYoverse has unveiled an exciting new update for *Tears of Themis* titled the Ballad of the Dunes, marking a unique collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism. This event beautifully merges the thrill of detective work with the enchanting heritage of Dunhuang, a historic city nestled on the edge of the Gobi Desert.

What Does Ballad of the Dunes Bring to Tears of Themis?

The Ballad of the Dunes event is a captivating blend of history, romance, and mystery, set against the backdrop of the ancient Silk Road. Players will immerse themselves in solving mysteries while exploring the rich cultural tapestry of Dunhuang. Here's what you can expect from this update:

The event introduces four new MR cards, each featuring one of the beloved characters—Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius. These cards are inspired by various elements of Dunhuang's culture, showcasing flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the iconic pipa played behind the back, reminiscent of ancient performers in the Mogao Caves. The Silk Road, a historical conduit of art, culture, and trade since the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD), is brought to life in a digital format within *Tears of Themis*.

Each card narrates a unique story: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." These cards also include Private Messages that delve into a journey spanning a thousand years.

What Are the Rewards?

From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and various other rewards by completing event tasks. The main challenge involves flipping cells on a game board to uncover these rewards.

The highlight of the event is the opportunity to obtain the Ballad of the Dunes MR card pack. Players can choose one of the four MR cards as their final reward in each round. Additionally, flipping 100 cells will grant you the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
