Sybo's Subway Surfers City Soft-Launches on iOS, Android

By OwenApr 09,2025

It's Friday, and that means a fresh gaming surprise from Sybo, the masterminds behind Subway Surfers! They've just stealth-dropped a new game, Subway Surfers City, into soft launch for both iOS and Android. Although we haven't had the chance to dive in yet, the app stores are buzzing with details.

Subway Surfers City appears to be the much-anticipated sequel to the iconic Subway Surfers. Since its debut in 2012, the original game has evolved tremendously, but it's starting to show its age. Enter Subway Surfers City, which not only brings back beloved characters but also introduces exciting new elements like hoverboards, all wrapped up in stunning, revamped graphics.

Currently, Subway Surfers City is in soft launch on iOS in the UK, Canada, Denmark, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and the Philippines. Android users in Denmark and the Philippines can also get their hands on it. If you're in one of these regions, you can grab it now!

With the Unity engine showing its age and limiting further development, a sequel makes perfect sense. The stealth-drop approach is intriguing, especially for a franchise as globally popular as Subway Surfers!

We're eager to see how players react to Subway Surfers City and when it will roll out globally. Fingers crossed it meets the high expectations set by its predecessor.
