EA and Bit Reactor, a studio comprised of XCOM veterans, will unveil their highly anticipated Star Wars turn-based tactics game at Star Wars Celebration 2025. Initially announced in early 2022, this untitled project has been developed in close collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games. The game will be showcased on April 19th during a live panel featuring the lead development teams.

Details about the game remain scarce, including its Star Wars era setting and precise gameplay mechanics. However, given the developers' XCOM background, a similar tactical experience infused with the Star Wars universe is anticipated.

Respawn Entertainment, concurrently developing the third installment in its Star Wars Jedi series, is not expected to have a presence at this year's Celebration. Previously, Respawn canceled an unannounced first-person shooter, rumored to feature a Mandalorian protagonist, as part of a larger EA restructuring. More recently, a multiplayer first-person shooter incubation project was also quietly canceled.

Other highlights at Star Wars Celebration include a preview of The Mandalorian & Grogu movie (May 2026 release) and a first look at Star Wars: Visions Volume 3.
