Star Wars: Hunters has announced its shutdown even before reaching its first anniversary, yet it will get to celebrate that milestone before closing down. The question remains: is it worth celebrating the anniversary of a game on its way out?
When Is the Star Wars: Hunters Shutdown?
The servers for Star Wars: Hunters will officially shut down on October 1st, 2025, marking the end of the game's journey after just nine months since its launch. Players have until April 15th to wrap up Season 5. Zynga, the game's developer and publisher, is set to release one final content update on April 15th, introducing a new Support Hunter named Tuya for free. On the same day, in-game purchases will be disabled. The Ranked Mode will continue to function until the servers go offline, and events from the season will be rerun. If you have any unspent Crystals, make sure to use them as there will be no refunds offered.It Isn’t Shocking
While it's disappointing, the shutdown of Star Wars: Hunters doesn't come as a surprise. The game faced numerous challenges from the start, including multiple delays since its announcement in 2020 and limited beta tests in the SEA and ANZAC regions. The lack of major console support and a tepid reception upon release were significant hurdles.
