Top Spring 2025 Anime Recommendations

From the lineup above, I've highlighted ***The Apothecary Diaries, Once Upon A Witch’s Death, The Beginning After The End, To Be Hero X***, and ***WITCH WATCH*** as must-watch series on Crunchyroll. However, there are a few more gems worth your attention.

***Devil May Cry*** on Netflix promises to be a thrilling adaptation of the beloved video game series. With a Limp Bizkit-soundtracked trailer and a newly composed Evanescence track, it's clear the creators understand the edgy tone fans expect. Netflix's track record with anime-style game IPs is mixed, but with Adi Shankar at the helm, who's known for *Castlevania* and *Guardians of Justice*, and Studio Mir's animation prowess seen in *Avatar: The Last Airbender* and *Korra*, this series is poised to deliver. Even if you're new to the *Devil May Cry* universe, fans of *Trigun* will appreciate Dante's mercenary adventures.

***Moonrise*** on Netflix is another title to watch out for. This original net animation (ONA) boasts talent from WIT Studio, known for *Attack On Titan* and *Vinland Saga*, and character designs by manga icon Hiromu Arakawa of *Fullmetal Alchemist* fame. Directed by Masashi Koizuka, who worked on *Attack On Titan* Seasons 2 & 3, the story details are scarce but promise something extraordinary.

Lastly, ***YAIBA: Samurai Legends*** on Netflix brings back the beloved samurai comedy series by Gosho Aoyama, creator of *Case Closed*. Following Yaiba Kurogane's battle against a demon army, this series, animated by WIT Studio, blends the humor and action of *Detective Conan* with the martial arts flair of early *Dragon Ball*, complete with historical Japanese references.
