The Sims 1 and 2 Return to PC at Last Today via The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle

By SavannahMar 15,2025

Celebrate 25 years of The Sims with the return of the original games! EA and Maxis are throwing a party, and you're invited. Both The Sims and The Sims 2 are back on PC, available now in their respective Legacy Collections. For a complete celebration, grab The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle, offering both collections for a combined price.

Each Legacy Collection includes nearly all expansions and stuff packs. While The Sims 2: Legacy Collection is missing the IKEA Home Stuff pack, it still boasts a comprehensive package. As a bonus, The Sims receives the Throwback Fit Kit, and The Sims 2 gets the Grunge Revival Kit.

This marks the first time in over a decade that both original Sims titles have been readily accessible. The Sims was initially a disc-only release, making it virtually impossible to play on modern systems without a physical copy. The Sims 2, while available for a time via an Ultimate Collection, was later removed from digital storefronts. Now, all four main Sims games are easily purchasable digitally.

Remember our classic reviews? We gave The Sims a 9.5/10 and The Sims 2 an 8.5/10! Despite advancements in the series, the originals retain their charm, offering a unique blend of simplicity, challenge, and nostalgic fun.

Dive back into the history of life simulation. The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available now on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
