By IsabellaMar 26,2025

Exciting news for *Pokémon Home* players! With the update to version 3.2.2, you can now get your hands on Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan. But, there's a catch—you'll need to complete some tasks first. While the requirements might seem daunting, securing Shiny Keldeo is a big deal. This Legendary was previously Shiny-locked and couldn't be obtained legitimately. Now, both Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan can be transferred to your other *Pokémon* games linked to your *Home* account.

To catch Shiny Keldeo in *Pokémon Home*, you'll need to fill out the Galar Pokédex with Pokémon from *Sword & Shield*, including those from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs. Each Pokémon must have the Galar origin mark, the slanted PokéBall logo above their stat screen, indicating they originated from the base game or the DLCs. Completing these Pokédexes will unlock the opportunity to claim Shiny Keldeo via the "Mystery Gift" option from the main menu. Just hit the three-line menu icon to access it. Don’t worry if it takes a while—there's no deadline to claim Shiny Keldeo.

Similarly, to obtain Shiny Meltan, you must complete the Kanto Pokédex with Pokémon from *Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee*. These Pokémon need to bear the Let’s Go marker, a Pikachu silhouette above their stat screen. Once your Kanto Pokédex in *Pokémon Home* is complete, you can claim your Shiny Meltan through the "Mystery Gift" option on the main menu. Again, take your time—there's no rush to unlock Shiny Meltan.

Why Is Pokémon Home Not Registering My Pokédex?

If you're facing issues with Pokémon not registering in your Pokédex on the mobile version of *Pokémon Home*, it might be due to a data issue. To fix this, clear your cache by following these steps:

  • Open the app and select the "Menu" icon (three lines in a circle) at the top-right of the title screen.
  • Choose "Clear Cache." You'll be reassured that "None of the data you’re currently using will be deleted."
  • Tap "OK." You should see a message confirming that the cache has been successfully cleared.

After clearing the cache, your Pokédex should register Pokémon correctly.
