Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge at its May Unpacked event, presenting its latest flagship smartphone. While the Galaxy S25 Edge closely resembles the earlier-released Galaxy S25 from 2025, its standout feature is its sleek, thinner design, aptly named "Edge."

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge boasts specs nearly identical to those of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, featuring the same powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a high-resolution 200MP camera. The primary distinction lies in its chassis, which has been impressively slimmed down to just 5.8mm thick from the Galaxy S25 Ultra's 8.2mm. This thinner design also results in a lighter phone, now weighing only 163g.

Despite the larger size, the Galaxy S25 Edge retains the same 6.7-inch AMOLED 2X display as the Galaxy S25, matching the specs of the slightly larger 6.9-inch display found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Given its slim and large profile, durability is a key concern for the Galaxy S25 Edge. Samsung addresses this by introducing Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, touted to be more durable than the Gorilla Glass Armor 2 used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, the real test will be how it withstands everyday scenarios, like being sat on in a pocket, to avoid potential issues reminiscent of the infamous "bendgate."

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge integrates the same suite of "Mobile AI" tools that debuted with the Samsung Galaxy S24 and were enhanced throughout 2025. Thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, much of the AI processing can be done on the device itself, bolstering privacy. However, many AI applications still depend on cloud services. Among its notable features, the phone can summarize notifications and news articles, offering a quick glance at essential information.

Starting today, you can preorder the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, with prices set at $1,099 for the 256GB model and $1,219 for the 512GB model. It's available in three elegant color options: Titanium Silver, Titanium Jet Black, and Titanium Icy Blue.
