Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault Final Starts May 24th in Spectacular Display

By CharlotteJun 12,2025

Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault has once again proven its status as one of the premier eSports events on the global stage. With over 515,000 players from 221 countries competing in 9.5 million Tennis Clash matches during the Open Qualifiers, the road to the Final Stage was nothing short of intense. Only eight elite players emerged victorious, ready to battle for the championship title.

Defending champion Alessandro Bianco will return to defend his crown, having earned his spot through exceptional performance. He will be joined by Hizir Balkanci—the winner of the first Open Qualifier—alongside Anyndia Lestari, Omer Feder, Adjua Thembisa Boucher, Eugen Mosdir, Bartu Yildirim, and Samuel Sanin Ortiz. These eight finalists will go head-to-head in a high-stakes showdown on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum.

The tournament’s format this year is set to deliver even more excitement. The finalists will be divided into two teams, each led by a tennis legend. Gilles Simon, former ATP World Number 6 and a finalist in last year's event, will captain one team. Opposing him will be none other than Wimbledon Champion Marion Bartoli, who brings her own brand of tactical brilliance to the table.

Each team will compete in a series of matches, with winning players advancing to the Winner Bracket. Meanwhile, those eliminated will enter the Loser Bracket, where they’ll fight for redemption—one player at a time. In the end, only one will rise as the ultimate Roland-Garros eSeries champion.

Adding to the spectacle, the event will be hosted by Samuel Etienne, a well-known French streamer with over a million followers on Twitch. Joining him in commentary will be esports analyst Quento and former Tennis Clash top-ranked player Benny “GP365.” The entire tournament will be brought to life in true Roland-Garros style, featuring a digital replica of the legendary Philippe-Chatrier court, custom-designed outfits, and officiated by respected French umpire Aurélie Tourte.

A live audience of 250 spectators will witness the action firsthand inside the auditorium. For those watching remotely, the event will be streamed live on Samuel Etienne’s Twitch channel and the official Roland-Garros YouTube channel starting at 4pm CEST. Fans can expect full match coverage, interactive segments, and engaging discussions with special guests who will bring energy and insight to the worlds of both tennis and eTennis.
