Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Edition Update After Six Years!

Rockstar, the masterminds behind the iconic GTA series, have just surprised fans with a fresh Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year hiatus, this unexpected update is exclusively available for mobile users, leaving console and PC gamers waiting for their turn.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

The Bully: Anniversary Edition update brings a host of new languages and focuses primarily on enhancing stability and fixing bugs. In a notable move, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to iron out any issues.

For Android users with compatible devices, the update introduces Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), enhancing the visual experience. Additionally, the app icon has been refreshed, and haptic feedback has been added to both Android and iOS platforms, enriching the tactile feel of gameplay.

Specific missions like ‘That Bitch’, where picking Mandy’s locker was previously impossible, and ‘Weed Killer’, which wouldn’t progress if you broke the window prematurely, have now been corrected. The notorious issue with police cars in ‘The Rumble’ falling through the floor has also been resolved. Furthermore, the update addresses the quirky scenario where enemies wouldn’t attack Jimmy, resulting in unbalanced combat, and fixes crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

The gaming community has been vocal about their desire for a Bully 2, but Rockstar seems to have shifted focus to other projects. A sequel was reportedly in development during the 2010s but was abandoned in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and the lucrative GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, the prospects for Bully 2 appear slim, particularly as many of the original developers have moved on from Rockstar.

While the new update isn't a complete remaster or a sequel, it's a significant upgrade for mobile gamers. If you're new to Bully, think of it as Rockstar's unique spin on a schoolyard sandbox game. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old troublemaker navigating the trials and tribulations of Bullworth Academy, complete with Rockstar's signature humor and open-world antics.

You can dive into Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99, which also supports full gamepad functionality for an enhanced gaming experience.
