Rivals Update 9: Gunblade and Bridge Map Added, Ranked Mode Coming Soon

The popular first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has just released Update 9, bringing exciting new content to its avid player base. Developer Nosniy Games has introduced the innovative Gunblade weapon and the thrilling Bridge map, enhancing the game's arsenal and environment options.

In the detailed patch notes for today's update, Nosniy Games outlined the additions and a few tweaks, marking this as one of the smaller updates in recent times. However, the new content is poised to keep players engaged and entertained.

The Gunblade, a versatile two-in-one weapon, combines the functionality of a rifle with the melee prowess of a giant blade. This weapon's dual nature offers strategic advantages, particularly useful on the newly introduced Bridge map. Set in Seoul and created by @GreatGuyBoom, this map features a suspended concrete structure that forces players into immediate close-quarters combat, with only a few concrete walls and a bus as cover. The intense setting promises exhilarating gameplay.

While Update 9 focuses primarily on the Gunblade and Bridge map, the patch notes do not mention any specific bug fixes, balance changes, or quality-of-life improvements. Nosniy Games has opted to concentrate solely on these new additions. However, minor adjustments were made to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and several items were renamed, such as the Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap, now known as Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed, respectively.

Looking ahead, the developers are already planning the next major content update, which will introduce the much-anticipated Ranked feature. In their statement, Nosniy Games emphasized their commitment to incorporating player feedback and promised that all necessary and additional changes will be implemented in time for the Ranked update.

Since its launch last May, Rivals has consistently received regular updates, with Update 7 introducing weapons like the Energy Rifle, Energy Pistols, and Crossbow. NEW SPECIAL CHALLENGES!

The Winter Spotlight has been removed and replaced with a brand new set of challenges! Complete a series of tasks on the new Bridge map to earn keys & the limited time Bungeoppang charm!

OTHER

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
