Fans of the time-bending RPG Reverse: 1999 have much to look forward to, with a livestream scheduled for April 18th that promises a sneak peek at the upcoming content for version 2.5, titled 'Showdown in Chinatown,' as well as details on the game's 1.5th anniversary celebrations.

The livestream will be hosted by the charismatic Captain Regulus alongside the newly introduced Officer Liang Yue, who will appear in chibi form. Viewers can anticipate engaging giveaways, including redeemable codes, and an exciting competition with a chance to win a Nintendo Switch 2.

While much of version 2.5 has already been revealed to Chinese players, the global audience will get their first official look at the update during this stream. 'Showdown in Chinatown' pays homage to the iconic Hong Kong martial arts films, weaving a thrilling crime narrative centered around the pursuit of an arcanist vigilante.

The update introduces Officer Liang Yue, a character skilled in martial arts, who will be infiltrating the film set of another new character, Noire. Noire, a wheelchair-bound perfectionist director, brings a unique twist to battles by using her ability to manipulate actors as puppets against enemies. Additionally, Loggerhead, a character with a camera for a head, will also make an appearance.

While the exact content for international versions remains under wraps until the livestream, fans can expect nods to legendary filmmakers like the Shaw Brothers and John Woo in version 2.5.
