By AuroraMar 24,2025

Pokemon GO is packed with exciting weekly events, and one of the highlights is the Spotlight Hour, which takes place every Tuesday. Each week, a different Pokemon takes the spotlight, offering players a chance to earn rewards, including the possibility of catching a Shiny version of the featured Pokemon. Additionally, players can work towards fully evolving the event Pokemon by transferring extra catches for bonus candies.

Roselia Spotlight Hour Guide

Mark your calendars for the upcoming Spotlight Hour on January 14th, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This week's star is Roselia, a Grass and Poison-type Pokemon from the Hoenn region (Generation 3). To make the most of this event, stock up on berries, Pokeballs, and incense. Not only will you have a better chance at catching Roselia, but you'll also benefit from a x2 Catch XP bonus, allowing you to level up faster during the event.

Roselia, with its Pokedex number #0315, boasts a maximum Combat Power of 2114 CP, 186 Attack, and 131 Defense. It's part of a three-stage evolution line: starting from Budew to Roselia with 25 Candies, and then to Roserade with 100 Candies and a Sinnoh Stone. Catching Roselia rewards you with three candies and 100 Stardust.

In Pokemon GO, Roselia can be traded and transferred to Pokemon Home. As a dual Grass and Poison-type, it's vulnerable to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-type attacks, taking 160% more damage from them. Conversely, it resists Electric, Fairy, Fighting, and Water-type attacks (63% reduced damage), with Grass-type attacks offering the highest resistance at 39%. Roselia's optimal moveset includes Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb, delivering 10.96 DPS and 99.91 TDO, with performance boosted in Cloudy Weather.

Don't miss the chance to catch a Shiny Roselia! Increase your odds by using incense and berries. The Shiny version sports a vibrant green body with purple and black roses, making it a striking addition to any Pokedex.
