Pokémon Go is bringing back the Bug Out event with Sizzlipede’s debut this time

By ChristopherMar 22,2025

The Pokémon Go Bug Out event is back, bringing with it a flurry of Bug-type Pokémon and the exciting debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch! Running from March 26th to 30th, this event promises a jam-packed schedule of wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and new challenges.

Lure Modules take center stage during the Bug Out event. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but they'll also significantly increase the number of Pokémon appearing at PokéStops—the more Pokémon caught with a single Lure Module, the better the boost!

Trainers will also enjoy double XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws and better, with increased Candy XL chances for those level 31 and above. Shiny hunters, rejoice! Your chances of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are significantly improved.

Expect a surge of Bug-type Pokémon in the wild, including Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, Nymble, and even the rare Cutiefly.

ytOne-star raids feature Sizzlipede alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor dominate three-star raids. Complete event-themed Field Research tasks for rewards like Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

A free Timed Research event offers encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For even more rewards, a paid Timed Research option ($2 or local equivalent) includes encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges await, rewarding Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will feature event-themed Pokémon. Don't forget to grab the stylish new Sizzlipede Boots and Scolipede Jacket from the in-game shop!
