Tactical Adventures has released a free demo for their upcoming turn-based tactical RPG, Solasta 2: Echoes of the Void, set within the Dungeons & Dragons universe. This sequel to Solasta: Crown of the Magister lets players create a four-person adventuring party and explore the land of Neokhos, facing an ancient evil while striving for redemption. Choices significantly impact the narrative, offering players considerable freedom in exploration and decision-making.
The demo includes core elements from the original Solasta, such as tactical turn-based combat, extensive character customization, and dynamic NPC interactions. A helpful "Helpful Dice" feature, enabled by default, mitigates frustrating bad luck streaks, though this can be disabled for veteran players. Clever use of the environment is key to victory in battles, adding a strategic layer to combat.
Players can enjoy the demo solo or with friends in cooperative multiplayer, similar to Divinity: Original Sin. The demo presents diverse class-based challenges and encounters, providing a taste of the full game's depth and complexity. Tactical Adventures welcomes player feedback to help shape the final release.
The game's system requirements are modest: a minimum of an Intel Core i5-8400 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and either an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580 GPU are recommended for optimal performance.
