Dante and Vergil Character and Weapon Banners Launch on August 6
Punishing Gray Raven (PGR) is counting down to its crossover event with Devil May Cry (DMC), starring two iconic characters from the series. Kuro Games hosted a special livestream on July 30, revealing new details about this much-anticipated collaboration.
As part of their global synchronization strategy, Kuro Games is rolling out several updates to ensure all PGR versions—including the global release—enjoy the same content. Similar to the Chinese server’s DMC event, the update introduces character banners for Dante and Vergil, alongside weapon banners for Devil Sword Dante and Yamato.
Dante, DMC’s iconic protagonist, joins as a Fire Attacker focused on aggressive playstyles, with the ability to switch weapons and unleash diverse skills. His motorcycle Cavaliere can be equipped as a Netherworld Arm—or Companion Unit in Battle (CUB)—providing extra effects and attacks for spectacular combos and increased damage.
Dante can also activate his True Devil Trigger form, granting him a unique moveset and expanding his combos for stylish gameplay. In this form, he can execute his ultimate technique, "Final Judgement," to finish off enemies.
Vergil joins as a Physical Attacker with mechanics mirroring Dante’s playstyle. His devil transformation grants Super Armor, increased speed, and enhanced damage. When his signature energy is full, he can unleash his signature attack, "Judgement Cut End," to annihilate foes.
Vergil’s Mirage Blades can be equipped as a Netherworld Arm, enabling extended combo opportunities. Both Devil Sword Dante and Yamato will be available in their respective weapon banners.
Mirrored Vergil Boss Battle and Trial of Simulacrums
During the collaboration, players can challenge a new boss: Mirrored Vergil. This version shares moves with the playable Vergil but includes additional attacks and the ability to summon clones that deal significant damage.
Mirrored Vergil also appears in the Trial of Simulacrums, available from August 6 to September 18. This mode scores players based on their performance, similar to Devil May Cry’s Stylish Rank system.
Alongside Mirrored Vergil, the boss Echo joins the event. By completing all objectives, players can earn Echo’s summer-themed outfit, Sandy Spectrum.
Free Dante and Anniversary Rewards
To celebrate the collaboration, PGR is offering a free copy of Dante to players who progress through the Lamento di Phantasma story event. Dante is rewarded upon completing Stage 6.
As previously announced, pulling either Dante or Vergil from their banners grants a free duplicate, applicable up to two times during the event. Additionally, banner pulls are discounted to 175 R&D tickets each.
In celebration of PGR’s 4th anniversary, players can look forward to multiple in-game rewards. A sign-in event provides daily bonuses, including 2,500 Event Construct R&D tickets, an exclusive 4th Anniversary Main Scene, character portraits, collectibles, and more.
Following the August 6 update, the first-time Black Card exchange bonus resets. An anniversary Limited Research banner also becomes available, allowing players to select any character up to Lilith: Daemonissa.
The Lamento di Phantasma event has been highly anticipated since its debut on the Chinese server. Players worldwide are excited to experience this crossover between PGR and one of gaming’s most beloved franchises.
Punishing Gray Raven is available on iOS and Android. The Devil May Cry collaboration begins on August 6, 2025.
