By AndrewMay 18,2025

Developer Tyler has just released the eagerly awaited 0.3.4 update for Schedule I, the viral hit drug dealer simulator that exploded onto Steam's early access scene on March 24. This update, detailed in the latest Steam patch notes, introduces significant new content and improvements following a brief testing phase.

Version 0.3.4 marks the first major content update for Schedule I, adding a fully functional pawn shop, a boutique store, various wall decorations, and more. In a Steam post, Tyler expressed regret for the delay, stating, "I'm still ironing out the update/testing process." He assured players that future updates would be smoother and more timely, with larger monthly updates starting next month.

Looking ahead, Tyler is prioritizing bug fixes, including ensuring employee consistency, preventing save game corruption, and reducing multiplayer disconnections and loading issues. He mentioned collaborating with Valve to enhance the save file format for better integration with Steam Cloud saves and to minimize corruption risks. Additionally, Tyler aims to optimize the game and achieve Steam Deck verification, using it as a performance benchmark.

PlaySchedule I topped Steam's sales charts upon launch, outpacing heavyweights like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals after going viral across social media, Twitch, and YouTube. In the game, players progress from small-time dealers to kingpins, managing the manufacture and distribution of various drugs in the gritty city of Hyland Point. Players can expand their empire by acquiring properties, businesses, and hiring employees.

Developed and published by TVGS, the Australian indie studio led by Tyler, Schedule I's explosive launch was described as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." In a Reddit post, Tyler expressed his surprise at the game's reception, saying, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
