First announced at Comiket in December last year, Nekopara’s latest game is coming to players soon. It’s Nekopara Sekai Connect, which has opened pre-registration for mobile and PC. The newest game in the long-running series marks a new direction for the franchise.
It brings the original art style, created by Sayori, the original creator. Sayori is writing alongside illustrating it. It’s being developed by Neko Works and published by Good Smile Company.
What’s New?
But this time, the gameplay is taking a different turn. Sekai Connect is a visual novel and a full-fledged social game. You’ll take part in semi-auto battles and manage a shop in sandbox mode. You’ll also tap along to rhythm game segments featuring original songs and music videos.
The story is set in a near-future world where AI-created Nekos live side by side with humans. These catgirls look human but have subtle differences. You run La Soleil, a patisserie which will be familiar to you if you’ve been following the series.
One day, you get an invite from the Neko Festival, a global competition where Nekos and their owners compete to become the most beloved. The winner gets a wish granted by the AI that created the Nekos.

In Nekopara Sekai Connect, the cats are from all over the world. The game features five schools with new characters. Sakuragaoka Neko Gakuen has Yuzuha; Kinka Neko Science Academy introduces Quince and Gertrude; Neko Gakuin brings Sable and Canelé. Meanwhile, Bastet Neko Graduate School includes Palmyra; and Nekos Youth Academy features Donut.Nekopara Sekai Connect Is Now Open for Pre-Registration
If you’re looking to revisit older stories, you’ll be able to do so in a remade format. The original volumes 0 through 4, along with Extra, will be re-released as part of the Nekopara Love Project. These remakes will come with new episodes, music, and voice actors.
