Where to Find Mutt in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

By AdamMar 17,2025

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, your canine companion, Mutt, takes an unexpected detour early in the game. Finding him involves a bit of exploration, but don't worry, we've got you covered. This guide will walk you through locating Mutt, regardless of whether you're on a specific quest or just looking for your furry friend.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: Mutt's Location

Mutt's whereabouts are tied to a side quest, but we can skip the lengthy search. He's nestled near a wolf cave southwest of the Nomads' Camp, just east of the river bathing spot. The image below pinpoints his location.

Mutt's Location

The easiest route? Fast travel to the Nomads' Camp, then head southwest into the forest. This path usually leads you directly to the cave. You'll hear Mutt whining as you approach. Follow the sounds, and you'll find him and a pack of wolves near the cave entrance.

Mutt and Wolves

Approaching triggers a cutscene introducing Mutt and the wolves, along with a tutorial on controlling him in combat. You can choose to fight or flee. While wolves aren't overly challenging in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, engaging them provides a good opportunity for skill leveling.

After the wolf encounter, Mutt is yours to command. Hold L1 while looking at him to interact, offering food from your inventory or sending him home.

Finding Mutt During the "Invaders" Side Quest

Interestingly, you might stumble upon Mutt's location during the "Invaders" side quest, particularly if you interact with the Cumans. Following Vasko while intoxicated leads directly to the cave, triggering the cutscene with Mutt and the wolves. However, attempting this while drunk and in the dark is significantly harder.

We strongly recommend rescuing Mutt *before* continuing the "Invaders" quest. Dealing with wolves while drunk and possibly disoriented is much more difficult. Even fleeing becomes risky in the dark.

That's how to find Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Check out The Escapist for more game tips and guides!
