Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1 Launches Soon, Update 2 Coming Summer 2025

By HarperMay 17,2025

Capcom has exciting news for fans of Monster Hunter Wilds: Title Update 1 is set to launch on Thursday, April 3 Pacific Time, and April 4 UK time. In a detailed showcase video, Capcom not only confirmed the release date but also unveiled what players can look forward to in this major post-launch update.

A standout feature of Title Update 1 is the introduction of the Grand Hub, a vibrant new social space designed for players to engage with each other in fresh and exciting ways. Within the Grand Hub, you'll find a new mini-game called Barrel Bowling, and at night, you can enjoy performances by the Diva.

The update also introduces the Mizutsune, a leviathan monster known for its hazardous bubbles, into the world of Monster Hunter Wilds. Alongside Mizutsune, players can embark on a Zoh Shia quest. Later, an event quest featuring Arch-tempered Rey Dau will be available.

Competitive players will be thrilled with the launch of Arena Quests, where the challenge is to achieve the fastest completion times. Title Update 1 brings free content for all players, including classic gestures from the series. Additionally, Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 will be released alongside this update.

Looking ahead, Monster Hunter Wilds is set to collaborate with an unannounced Capcom game at the end of May. A second title update is scheduled for the summer, with Capcom offering an early glimpse of a new monster that will join the fray.

While PC gamers were hoping for updates on performance improvements following concerns at the game's launch, the showcase did not address these issues.

As Monster Hunter Wilds continues to evolve, Capcom is clearly setting the pace for future updates. For a comprehensive overview, check out IGN's roundup of everything announced during the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 showcase.
