Monster Hunter Wilds Patch 1.000.05.00 Fixes Quest Blockers, Among Other Things — but There Are No Performance Improvements Yet

By ZoeyMar 21,2025

Capcom has released hotfix 1.000.05.00 for Monster Hunter Wilds across all platforms, addressing several crucial improvements and bug fixes. This patch tackles various progression blockers and glitches, though players shouldn't expect any performance enhancements based on the patch notes below.

Despite a "mixed" user review rating on Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds enjoyed a record-breaking launch, selling 8 million copies in just three days—making it Capcom's fastest-selling game ever. It also boasts the fifth highest concurrent player count on Steam, peaking at a staggering 1,384,608 players—surpassing even Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring on Valve's platform. This significantly outpaces Monster Hunter: World's peak of 334,684 players.

A major title update, anticipated for early April, will introduce a new endgame area and expand the monster hunting experience.
