Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 Games

Microsoft has unveiled an exciting lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles set to enhance the service in the first half of April 2025, featuring a mix of first- and third-party games. This robust selection includes highly anticipated releases like South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and more, as detailed in a recent Xbox Wire post.

The month kicks off strong on April 3 with the addition of Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (available on Cloud, Console, and PC) for all tiers. Joining it are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all accessible through Game Pass Standard. This initial wave promises to keep gamers engaged throughout the month, but the excitement doesn't stop there. Just five days later on April 8, South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will become available for all Game Pass subscribers.

South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is set to be one of the year's most significant releases for Xbox. This Deep South-set folklore adventure invites players to explore its mythos and confront mysterious creatures, learning to harness an ancient power to overcome challenges and address the haunting issues in their hometown.

The releases continue with Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) on April 9 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, followed by Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) on April 10 for the same tiers. Rounding out the first wave of additions on April 15, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be added for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

In addition to new game titles, Xbox Game Pass perks are also getting refreshed for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and a special anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves enthusiasts.
