"Mickey 17: Viewing Options - Theaters and Streaming"

By HunterMar 28,2025

The acclaimed director Bong Joon Ho returns with his latest project, Mickey 17, featuring Robert Pattinson, known for his roles in Twilight and The Batman. In this film, Pattinson plays an "expendable," a character repeatedly sent into dangerous situations, dying and being resurrected as a clone. This role resonates with Pattinson's past character, Cedric Diggory, whom he'd wish to give another shot at life.

In his review for IGN, critic Siddhant Adlakha delves into the philosophical depths of this "depressing" sci-fi comedy, stating, "Mickey 17 is confrontational by virtue of its pessimism, transforming a mostly straightforward novel into a stark reflection of how the current political moment came to be – albeit without letting anyone (least of all, those of us at the mercy of these larger forces) off the hook for our own transgressions."

For those eager to see Mickey 17, the film is currently screening in theaters. You can find showtimes at popular cinema chains like Fandango, AMC Theaters, Cinemark Theaters, and Regal Theaters.

Mickey 17 Streaming Release Date

Mickey 17 is set to stream on Max, thanks to its distributor Warner Bros., which also owns the Max service. Given the precedent set by other Warner Bros. releases like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Joker: Folie a Deux, which hit Max three months and a month after their theatrical releases, respectively, it's anticipated that Mickey 17 will be available on Max by late July.
