Once considered impossible, a Nintendo Switch 2 release for Marvel Rivals now seems increasingly likely. NetEase previously dismissed a release on the original Switch due to technical limitations. However, the upcoming console could change everything.
At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu revealed ongoing discussions with Nintendo. The key challenge remains ensuring consistently smooth performance on the new hardware:
"The first-generation Switch simply didn’t have the power to deliver the gameplay experience we envisioned. But if the Switch 2 can handle it, we’re absolutely ready to bring the game to the platform."

The officially announced Nintendo Switch 2 is already attracting significant support from major industry players. Phil Spencer has indicated Xbox's interest in bringing its games to the platform, and Electronic Arts (EA) has also expressed its enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, Marvel Rivals continues to expand, with the Fantastic Four's addition expected to significantly impact future updates.
