Get ready, Call of Duty fans! The highly anticipated return of Verdansk to Warzone is almost here. March 10th, 2025, marks the date, according to a countdown appearing in the Call of Duty shop (thanks to InsiderGaming for the heads-up). Activision first teased Verdansk's comeback last August, promising a Spring 2025 release, but now we have a concrete date.
A teaser image in the shop depicts a classic Verdansk scene: snow-capped mountains, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—a nostalgic trip for veteran players. This iconic map, originally replaced by Verdansk '84 and then Caldera, will once again be playable, marking a significant moment for those who've missed the original battleground. Currently, only Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile offers access to this beloved map.
This news is particularly exciting given Activision's 2021 statement declaring the original Verdansk "gone and not coming back." It seems they've changed their minds!

Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 has launched, bringing five new multiplayer maps (Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind), the return of Gun Game, new weapons, operators, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event. Warzone, however, has received less new content than initially planned as the developers focus on resolving critical issues, including gameplay balancing, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements.
