The official trailer for the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch has finally arrived, giving fans an exciting glimpse into the new interpretation of this beloved Disney classic. In this trailer, we get our best look yet at Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen as Pleakley. While previous teasers have showcased Stitch, this trailer highlights Kealoha's portrayal of Lilo, the character originally voiced by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated film.
The trailer also introduces us to the serious yet lovable Cobra Bubbles, portrayed by Courtney B. Vance, alongside Zach Galifianakis as Jumba and Billy Magnussen as Pleakley. An intriguing aspect of the trailer is the brief scene where Jumba and Pleakley appear disguised as humans on Earth, a departure from their usual alien forms. However, fans will be delighted to catch a quick glimpse of Pleakley in his true alien form.This trailer brings to life many iconic scenes from the original animated film, such as Stitch's dramatic arrival resembling a falling star, his transformation to blend in at the animal shelter, and the heartwarming moment when Lilo explains, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
Lilo & Stitch is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, marking another live-action adaptation of a cherished Disney story. This release follows closely on the heels of the live-action Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, scheduled for March 21.
