"Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Sells 2 Million Copies in Under 2 Weeks"

By BellaApr 22,2025

The success of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* continues to soar, with the game now selling an impressive 2 million copies within just two weeks of its release. Developer Warhorse Studios proudly shared this milestone on Twitter, celebrating the game's triumph, which echoes their excitement when it hit the 1 million sales mark just a day after launch.

This stellar performance underscores the acclaim for Warhorse Studios' action role-playing game set in medieval Europe, which debuted on February 4 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. Embracer, the parent company of Warhorse Studios, highlighted last week that *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* has been particularly successful on Steam, achieving over 250,000 peak concurrent players. This surpasses the first *Kingdom Come: Deliverance*, which peaked at 96,069 concurrent players on Steam seven years ago. Although console numbers remain undisclosed by Sony and Microsoft, the overall peak concurrent player count for the sequel is expected to be significantly higher given its multi-platform launch.

Embracer, through its subsidiary Plaion, praised *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* for its strong start not only in sales but also in player and critic reception. Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors commended the dedication of Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver, expressing confidence that the game will continue to generate significant revenue in the coming years. He emphasized the game's quality, immersion, and appeal, noting that Warhorse Studios has planned a comprehensive roadmap for the next 12 months, including updates and new content to keep the community engaged.

"We are immensely proud of the teams involved in the successful release of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, which has significantly outperformed our expectations so far," Wingefors stated.

Looking ahead, *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s post-launch roadmap features three expansions scheduled for 2025. Spring will bring free updates, including a Barbers feature for additional customization, Hardcore Mode, and Horse Racing. The summer will introduce the first paid content, "Brushes with Death," where protagonist Henry assists an enigmatic artist with a shadowy past. Autumn will see the release of "Legacy of the Forge," delving into Henry's past through his adoptive father Martin's history. Finally, winter will unveil "Mysteria Ecclesia," where Henry undertakes a covert mission at the Sedlec Monastery.
