Kingambit Joins Pokémon Go in Crown Clash Event Next Month

By AaronMay 23,2025

As you prepare for the Sweet Discoveries event, Pokémon Go is gearing up for the regal Crown Clash event, set to take place from May 10th to 18th. This event promises an array of exciting opportunities, including the debut of Kingambit, the Big Blade Pokémon, alongside costumed variants of Nidoqueen and Nidoking, adorned with majestic crowns.

To evolve your Bisharp into Kingambit, you'll need to embark on a unique journey. Bisharp must be set as your buddy, and you'll need to triumph over 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. The good news? Bisharp doesn't need to do the fighting; it just needs to be by your side as you rack up those victories.

The event also introduces Nidoqueen and Nidoking in their royal attire, potentially available in their Shiny forms. These crowned Pokémon will headline three-star raids, while one-star raids will feature Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard.

ytIn the wild, you'll encounter frequent spawns such as Slowpoke, which could yield a King’s Rock, alongside Slakoth, Piplup, Combee, Snivy, and Litleo. Keep an eye out for Pawniard, which will appear more often.

Before diving into the event, make sure to check out the latest redeemable Pokémon Go codes for additional perks.

With double XP for evolving Pokémon, now is the perfect time to tackle your evolution backlog. Engage in event-themed Field Research tasks and a catch-and-evolve Collection Challenge to earn extra XP, Stardust, and another chance at encountering Pawniard. Trainers at Level 31 and above can look forward to guaranteed Candy XL for evolutions upon completing the challenge.

Don't miss out on the event-themed Showcases at PokéStops, where you can flaunt your crown-worthy catches. Additionally, the Pokémon Go Web Store will offer special deals to help you gear up for this thrilling event.
