Having used the Kindle since its earliest model, I can confidently say it's my preferred method of reading. It has actually encouraged me to read more than I would with traditional books. The use of e-ink technology makes reading in any light condition comfortable, mimicking the look of paper pages. Since the Kindle only consumes power when turning pages, using the backlight, or with Wi-Fi on, you can go weeks, or even months, between charges in Airplane mode. I often forget where I've put my charging cable because I charge it so infrequently.
