The story kicks off with Darkseid, the notorious villain from the DC Universe, venturing into the Sonic universe in search of immense power. To counter this threat, the Justice League and Team Sonic must unite their forces to prevent Darkseid from dominating a new dimension.

This crossover is part of a broader collaboration between Warner Bros. and Sega, which also includes a range of exclusive toys and collectibles at Target. The initial offerings feature a line of T-shirts and hoodies showcasing Shadow the Hedgehog in Batman attire.
