In Stalker 2, Journalist Stashes are scattered across various regions, with some areas boasting multiple stashes ripe for the looting. One such stash in the Garbage Region is nestled within the Maze, a labyrinth of cars and trucks. This stash holds a formidable suit of armor, but it's tucked away in a tricky spot. Fear not, as this guide will show you how to reach this coveted stash with ease.
How to Get the Garbage Journalist Cache in Maze
To secure the Journalist Stash in Stalker 2, players should head northwest from the Slag Heap towards the Car Maze. Although the maze has multiple entrances, opt for the main entrance as marked on the map for the best approach.
Upon entering the Maze, veer to the right until you spot a burned-up bus lying on its side. Look to your left, and you'll see another bus, this one with a distinctive blue exterior. Climb atop this blue bus, and from there, you'll spot the Journalist Stash in the Maze. Descend on the other side and open the stash to claim the Tourist Suit Body Armor.
Is the Tourist Suit Body Armor Any Good?
The Tourist Suit stands out as one of the top early to mid-game body armors in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It provides solid protection against thermal, electrical, and chemical hazards. What sets it apart are its exceptional radiation and physical protection capabilities, enabling players to endure higher radiation levels and other damage sources.
Beyond boosting physical defenses, the suit enhances stamina regeneration by 5%, a crucial stat in Stalker 2 where you're constantly traversing the world on foot. Improved stamina and regeneration rates allow for longer, more comfortable journeys.
While the Tourist Suit is impressive out of the box, you can elevate its performance further with upgrades. Although Lens at Zalissya can't help, Diode at Slag Heap offers the expertise needed to enhance the suit with top-tier modifications, amplifying its already impressive attributes.
