Japan Expansion for Ticket to Ride: Build the Bullet Train Network!

Embark on a virtual journey across Japan with the latest expansion for Ticket to Ride, now available from Marmalade Game Studio and Asmodee Entertainment. The digital version of this beloved board game introduces the Japan Expansion, bringing the iconic Japan map to your screens for the first time.

Help Build the Train Network

Unlike the traditional board game, the Japan map in the digital version offers a fresh twist. Rather than solely focusing on expanding your own train empire, you'll contribute to building a national Bullet Train network that benefits everyone. The gameplay is semi-cooperative; you can choose to let others do the heavy lifting while you accumulate points. However, beware of the game's karma system! Neglect your Bullet Train responsibilities, and you'll lose 20 points at the end of the game. So, a bit of teamwork is essential, even if you're plotting some friendly sabotage.

The Japan Expansion also introduces two new characters: Nakanishi Kimiko, a travel blogger who loves the festival scene and her dog, and Moriyama Isamu, a gyōji or sumo referee. These characters add a rich layer of Japanese culture and local charm, making your gameplay experience more immersive and engaging.

Ticket to Ride Has Upgraded Trains with the Japan Expansion

Your train collection will receive a delightful upgrade with this expansion. You'll have access to two new trains and carriages: the Ichi Eki Saki train and the Tsuki Sleeper carriage for a more relaxed journey, and the Isogaba Maware train paired with the Hayai carriage for swift and efficient travel. As spring arrives, the Japan map's seasonal vibes are sure to enhance your gaming sessions.

The Japan Expansion is now available for download, perfect for mixing up your Ticket to Ride gameplay. Head over to the Google Play Store to get started on your virtual Japanese train adventure.
