InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has unveiled intriguing details about the game's inclusion of unusual and paranormal elements. Players will have the unique opportunity to control ghosts, though this feature will be limited to ensure it complements rather than overshadows the core gameplay experience. This ghost mechanic is intricately linked to a karma system, which meticulously tracks the actions of characters and influences their future lives in meaningful ways. Remarkably, this influence extends beyond death.

The karma system plays a pivotal role in determining a character's fate after they pass away. Depending on their deeds, characters may either transition peacefully to the afterlife or be condemned to linger as ghosts among the living. For those who become ghosts, the path to finally leaving the mortal world involves earning the necessary karma points to move on.
In the early access version of InZOI, players will encounter ghosts, but the ability to control them will be introduced in a later update. The developers have stressed that InZOI is fundamentally a game about real life, and thus, paranormal elements will be kept to a minimum. However, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim hinted at the possibility of introducing other unexplained phenomena to InZOI in the future, adding an extra layer of mystery and excitement to the game.
