Gordon Ramsay, the renowned chef known for his fiery temper, is the latest celebrity to grace Supercell's lineup of games. Starting today, he'll bring his surprisingly calm demeanor to Hay Day, taking over the role of the absent Greg. This collaboration introduces new in-game events and features.
As predicted last year, Supercell's partnership with Erling Haaland opened the door for a wave of celebrity collaborations. However, the addition of Gordon Ramsay, a star of Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell, is a particularly unexpected and exciting development.
In-game, Ramsay will appear with humorous trailers showcasing his newfound composure, even including an apology video for past Hell's Kitchen contestants. He replaces Greg, who's supposedly off on a fishing trip, and will be available until the 24th, introducing new features and special events to celebrate his arrival.
Fresh Produce and New Partnerships
While the famously furious chef's calm persona is a surprising twist, this isn't Ramsay's first foray into mobile gaming. He already has a collection of mobile games based on his TV shows. However, his appearance in Hay Day further solidifies Supercell's increasing focus on celebrity collaborations.
Interestingly, Supercell isn't limiting itself to fictional characters; real-life celebrities are now equally prominent in their collaborations. This strategic move likely resonates with their diverse fanbase, which tends to skew towards a more mature demographic.
