Pokémon Center Hiroshima Moving to a New Location
Pokémon Center Hiroshima will close its doors at the end of March and will reopen in a new location around April 2025. The store, which originally opened in June 2015, is currently located on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building, adjacent to the RIHGA Royal Hotel and facing the Hiroshima Prefectural Office.
The new location will be on the second floor of Ekie, at the north exit of Hiroshima Station. This move promises to bring Pokémon fans closer to the heart of the city's bustling transportation hub.
Also Announces Gyarados-Themed Playground
Exciting news for Pokémon enthusiasts: the "Gyarados Plaza by Pokémon Center Hiroshima" is set to open on March 24, 2025, at the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza, part of the new Hiroshima Station building called Minamoa. This unique plaza will feature large play equipment modeled after Gyarados, the iconic Pokémon associated with Pokémon Center Hiroshima. It's designed to be a fun space where people of all ages can interact with Pokémon in their own way.
For the initial period after its launch, visitors will need to make advance reservations to use the playground equipment. More details will be available on the official Minamoa website.
Pokémon Center Hiroshima is open daily from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm, so be sure to visit if you're in the area.
