Sony and Santa Monica Studio have unveiled the Dark Odyssey collection, an exciting update for God of War Ragnarök set to launch next week. This update, themed around one of the franchise's most iconic outfits, promises to enhance your gameplay with a stunning array of in-game equipment.
Sony has shared all the details about the God of War 20th anniversary celebrations in a PlayStation.Blog post. The Dark Odyssey update, available free of charge starting March 20, is the highlight, offering a wealth of cosmetic items for all God of War Ragnarök players on PlayStation 5 and PC.
The collection boasts a sleek black-and-gold aesthetic, ensuring that Kratos and his companions will look their best as they navigate the realms of Norse mythology. Alongside Kratos, both Atreus and Freya receive their own unique cosmetic sets. Additionally, a variety of shields and weapons will also get the Dark Odyssey treatment.
The centerpiece of this update is undoubtedly the Dark Odyssey armor and appearance set for Kratos, reminiscent of a skin that was once a reward for completing God of War 2 on God Mode difficulty. Players can obtain this coveted content by opening any Lost Items chest in the base game or directly in the roguelike Valhalla mode of God of War Ragnarök post-update. Furthermore, this patch introduces the much-awaited feature to customize Kratos' weapons' appearances without impacting their abilities.
